In keeping with my New Year’s resolution to take a trip every month, this month’s trip was a ski trip to Park City, Utah. One of my friends is a real estate investor and had just bought a cabin up there, so a group of us went up for the weekend. It was a sweet place, kind of secluded, awesome view of the mountains, and a hot tub out back.

Saturday we went skiing, or I guess in my case it was more of a snowboarding trip. Or a “brief spurts of snowboarding regularly interrupted by spectacular wipeouts” if you want to get technical. We went to The Canyons Resort in Park City, which had a bunch of awesome trails.

Sunday we went snowmobiling, which is pretty fun and easy unless you happen to completely miss the trail and spend 5 hours digging yourself out of 8 feet of snow. Guess which one we did? We had some pretty awesome wipeouts, got stuck more times than I care to remember, and I even managed to lose a shoe in the process. Thankfully I found it under only four feet of snow so I didn’t get frostbite.

In non-snow-sporting events, there are some rumors that I passed out face down on the carpet and tried to use an inflatable air mattress for a blanket. I admit to nothing.

Overall it was pretty fun though, I can’t wait to try it again!
