What is one to do when Easter weekend rolls around and you’ve got no plans? Why, go to Miami of course!
I headed over to Miami last weekend to visit Brian. I had printed out some driving directions to his place from the airport, but when I arrived I discovered that the main road that I needed to take to get there was a toll road. Since I had cleverly skipped going to the ATM and had exactly zero dollars, this meant I needed to take the backroads. I ended up zigzagging through some pretty sketchy looking ghettos, carefully navigated Little Havana, and finally made it over there.
One thing that was really surprising about Miami was how clear the water was. You could look down and see all the way to the bottom. When we were standing at the docks at the marina, you could look down and see these huge fish (lemonfish?) that were about 4 feet long just sitting under the dock trying to stay cool.
We rode some jet skis around in the ocean, which was a blast! We were going to try to do some parasailing but we ran out of time, so I guess I’ll have to do that here in San Diego. We also made it to a Marlins game, which the D-Train pitched. We did the obligatory trip to Hard Rock at Bayside and wandered around the Lincoln Road Mall one night for dinner.
Now all I’ve got to do is figure out where to go next month…

You’re out in warm weather while Im stuck here in PA, mid-April having showers with 35 degree temperatures.
Oh how I envy…
